Travel Theme: Red ” Meeting ‘Red’ in Ladakh” – A photoessay

With snow-capped mountains, bearing the onslaught of bitter cold winds, overlooking desolate deserts, The Ladakh region, in India has one of the starkest topographies anywhere in the world. On a recent trip to the region I discovered that the barren moonscape terrain has been clothed in colors of Life. ‘Red’ being the chief among them! This photo essay is an attempt to showcase the ‘Red’ signifying – religion, faith, tenacity, innocence, friendship, protection, respect, grandeurΒ  – of life in Ladakh

The theme this week at Where’s my Backpack?Β  is ‘Red’. Hope you enjoyed my composition. Do visit other entries at
