Stains from a Holiday

Coming back home

I open the doors to

Squeaky clean floors

Made beds

Empty trash-bins

Neatly laid rows of shoes.

The suitcases

dragged in

not yet still

restless from their journeys

stir, shake

burst open!

Spilling out

mud, grime

Running wild

they leave trails

on the cold white marble floor

make puddles in the sparkling porcelain bathtub

crumple the satin draped family bed

climb all over my beautiful staid walls

staining them

With the warmth of Life

I’ve just returned from the longest holiday ever! And though I am sorry its over. I am also glad. I missed being here at JAWC and I missed reading my favorite blogs.Β  I’ve already started snooping around and getting a peep into what everyone’s been up to. And I plan to spend the next few days catching up more thoroughly. Hello everyone! I am happy to be back πŸ™‚

I loved it πŸ™‚ Think you forgot just one thing, the smell of your house when you take that first step inside! My mums house has the most unique smell, maybe that’s what I can’t wait for most when I get back home.
